So onto other news...I'm so happy to announce that after almost 2 years as a contractor with them, I accepted a full time job offer with Stryker!! For those who don't know, Stryker is a medical device company based in Michigan. I've worked with them in a variety of ways and they gave me the opportunity to be a Project Manager working with the Global IT department! And the best part? I can work remotely from here in Seattle - woot! I'm absolutely thrilled to be employed full time again after more than 3 years without a "real job"!
AND this new position should be a bit less stressful too, meaning I can get back to sleeping regularly. Thank goodness - maybe now I can be less of a zombie every day!
Thank you to those who have been so supportive of me throughout this time - much appreciated! It's been a good week and I can't wait to transition into my new role. We celebrated last night with a little FroYo with our friends
strawberry with gummy bears and animal crackers!
Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all my mom friends!
Questions:
1) How was your week/training?
2) Any fun and exciting news to share?
3) Are you racing this weekend? If so, good luck!

I love the handprint!! It is super cute.
ReplyDelete1-My training is kind of getting back on track. Still really worried about the half next month and unsure if I'll be ready for Lake Stevens, but it's coming along.
2-Exciting news...my husband took the day off so I can go to a Mother's Day lunch at my daughter's school today.
Great week of training. Glad you were able to get back into the pool.
Great workout week and congrats on your job! So exciting! The hand print is so cute:) My training this week was okay. I wish I would have gotten more running in, oh well. Fun news: I registered to become an RRCA running coach and I won an entry into the Danskin Triathlon in Seattle. Never done one before (slow swimmer). Have a great Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteSo adorable...I love the smile on your daughter's face! Happy Mother's Day to you as well...I do have a race Saturday called The Annual Bridge Run here in Grants Pass Oregon, it's only a 5miler but my son is running it with me so it should be a fun time! My training week was short and because I wanted to have fresh legs for the race I took Thursday and today off!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the job! That's awesome news :)And that card is adorable!
ReplyDeleteSuper big congrats on the job!! Sounds like things are working out well. Maybe not as quickly as desired, but in the end either way.
ReplyDeleteAnd you put up some good numbers this week too!! Keep it up!
Congratulations on the job! That is wonderful news!
ReplyDeleteI think one of my girlfriends used to work for Stryker!!! She left about two years ago to be an ARNP again. Congratulations again. Very cool!!!

ReplyDeleteNice work on the training. You're beasting it up with those long runs. Keep it up!
Congrats on the job! That sounds like it's perfect for ya!
Enjoy the FroYo! Yummy!!!
Congrats on the job! And way to go with the training. Happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteCOngrats on your job! I had a friend who worked there for a while in MI. She is in Nashville now. Nice job on a 2.5hour ride. I FINALLY got in a long ride on Sat too! It was awesome. I am letting my running mileage go, which is hard for me mentally, but my body needs it to ride, I think. I might have to run tomorrow, though!
