Top 10 Tuesday

I haven't done this in a while, so I thought it would be fun to just throw a random post together! Maybe this will help take my mind off of the stresses of moving/house hunting/work/toddlers/etc. Nah, probably not but hey, it's worth a shot!

Top 10 thinks keeping me sane right now amidst the chaos:

10) Copious amounts of Diet Coke. Preferrably fountain

9) The view out my window of Puget Sound and the mountains. It is stunning. I know I have posted before, but it is nice...

8) The little bagel place down the street from our apartment where the woman knows Julia and I now! Everything bagel toasted with butter, please! Oh and refer to #10 as well
My favorite. via Google

7) Continuing to use my 5 minute + PR from my half marathon on Sunday for motivation as I start Ironman training!

6) Hopefully getting a treat for myself...pedicure, anyone? Don't mind if I do!

5) Reading my bloggy friend's posts, especially race (Ironman) recaps. Love them!

4)  Did I mention Diet Coke? Oh ok. How about wine? No? Yes, I plan to partake in some wine guzzling tasting today and in the days to come

3) My new Seattle friends TriGirl, Stacie, Ann Marie and Kerrie! Thanks, ladies, for already making me feel welcome in my new city! Please read their blogs too - I linked them on their names!

2) Shows like How The Grinch Stole Christmas and Shrek the Halls already playing on TV. Love the old favorites - can't wait for Charlie Brown too!

1) The Muppets. Yes, they are my #1 reason for staying sane right now. Watching Julia and Rob sing the "Manamana" song makes me laugh no matter what. There should be a link to the You Tub if you click the picture.
If you haven't seen the movie, go right now. I mean it. Go now.

So there you have it. Exciting, right? I thought so.

Enjoy the rest of your evening!

Questions:
1) Do you use a race/PR/good workout as motivation to keep you going?
2) What is your favorite movie right now?
3) What is your "go-to" beverage/food of choice to de-stress?

  2. Aww I am SO glad you are liking it so far. Don't worry, the stress of the move will be over with soon! Then you can just enjoy everything Seattle has to offer. If you are a wine girl, then you HAVE to go to Woodinville! There are tons of fab wineries to go tasting at! AND its only like 20 minutes away! :)

  4. What a fun post! I definitely use a good workout/PR as motivation! Those workouts are what makes the training all worth it! My beverage of choice has got to be a soy chai latte from Starbucks..yum!! :)

  6. Love this post :) A good workout is a huge motivator for sure. I guess I don't have a favourite movie at the moment. And my de-stress drink is coffee during the day (though it's not exactly relaxing, so maybe tea?). And wine at night. Like now. I'm glad I didn't scare you off :)

MegO: yes, I agree that we know each other already!

  8. 3- Fountain Diet Dr Pepper from Chick Fil A. I was trying to cut back on DDP, by not stocking it in the house, but it was on sale at meijer today, and Ryan does not plan to cut back on regular, so I got some cans since I was buying pop anyway. Came in handy today already. I was hoping to make it to "thursday Chick Fil A lunch" that Soren and I always do, but no such luck!

I am so glad you are adjusting! Moving is hard.
