1) Brick workouts are not totally terrible. I've been trying really hard to get back on track this week with my Steelhead 70.3 training schedule. I'm still a bit off but getting there. Yesterday and today, I did 90 minute bike rides (about 28 miles, give or take 1 or 2) followed shortly (today within an hour, yesterday a bit more of a gap) by about a 4 mile run (about .15 short but I round up!) at between 8:00-8:30 pace. Today I ran with Julia in the stroller but the weather was so nice I couldn't resist not taking her out to enjoy it too. Now to increase the time for both the bike and the run and I'll be in business. Oh and I have to throw some swimming in there too. Oy.
2) Packing too many things into 1 week makes me about lose my mind. Since we just got back late Sunday night, I've been running around like crazy all week. And we have friends in town from Alabama with 18 month old twins so I've spent the past 3 days with them so the kids could play. Here they are
I have had basically zero time to sit down and think much less get everything done that I need or want to. I also spent time catching up with friends, oh and trying to work too! Whew. I'm exhausted.
3) I got my 3rd place age group trophy from my 70.3 in June in the mail! It isn't the prettiest of trophies but it is one that means a lot to me, as it's an accomplishment I'm very proud of!
